Nancy stay turned out to not be so temporary. Instead, Finley takes Nancy as a second wife. Sally is heartbroken, but she does not want to lose Finley and be alone again.

Finley spends a lot of time with Nancy, leaving Sally and Megan to cook and clean.

Nancy rarely helps around the house. The only good thing is that Audrey and Megan get along well.

Nancy becomes pregnant and for once the father is actually happy about it. Finley smothers her with compliments and brings her gifts. He orders Sally and the girls to do all the housework and take care of Nancy. He doesn’t want to risk anything happening to his son. Nancy must be allowed to get her rest and have nutritious meals.

Sally is devastated. She was never pampered when she was pregnant, not like this anyway. Let Nancy take it easy, what a joke, thought Sally. Nancy barely did anything.

Audrey is excited about having a new sibling. She misses her little brothers that she is not allowed to speak about. She feels the baby kick and squeals in delight.

“Are we going to keep this baby?” Audrey asks.

“You hush!” scolds Nancy. “Never mention the twins. You are my only child and this baby. Do you understand me?”

Audrey nods, but she does not understand.

Nancy gives birth to a boy. They name him William. The members of the Keepers bring cakes and come to admire the chosen one’s son. Nancy gloats and smirks at Sally. Sally tries to be happy for Finley, but inside she is crushed.

“Hey big sister,” Finley greets Audrey. “Are you taking good care of your brother and mother? I brought you some candy.”

He hugs Audrey and goes inside.

Audrey grins and says to Megan, “Maybe someday I can marry Finley.”

“Wouldn’t you rather have your own husband?” Megan asks.

“No, I love Finley.”

Megan doesn’t understand the fascination with Finley. Things had been better before they met him.
